Background
There is a strong global demand for circular economy solutions as governments, businesses, and consumers seek sustainable alternatives to linear models. Emerging markets, such as India and Asia, are rapidly adopting circular practices, creating opportunities for Nordic companies to offer innovative solutions. WCEF2026 provides visibility and access to these markets, responding to the growing need for collaboration and scalable solutions.
A key focus is opening new markets and facilitating partnerships for Nordic companies. It aims to connect businesses, policy makers and governments that are seeking circular solutions and investors and funding organisations looking for scalable, impactful projects.
The forum, held since 2017, has so far been hosted in Africa (Rwanda), Asia (Japan), Europe (Belgium, Finland and The Netherlands), North America (Canada) and Latin America and the Caribbean (Brazil).
Nordic added value
The aim is to showcase Nordic circular economy expertise both at the main event and in the accelerator sessions. The aim is also to ensure that the main event includes content from a Nordic perspective as well as speakers and participants from the Nordic countries.
