UWAC - Underwater foundations for floating wind, aquaculture, defence and coastal management

Project 2025 Active

These large, lightweight modules address high costs and CO2 emissions in floating wind by replacing heavy steel, enabling easier transport and installation. The technology is also being adapted for salmon farming to reduce lice, and for defense as modular platforms and coastal protection.

Additionally, it's being studied for cost-effective coastal erosion management. This project aims to strengthen partnerships and showcase scalable, sustainable solutions for North Atlantic challenges.

Partners
