Contributions to a Nordic Ethical AI Playbook

The workshop will be interactive and facilitated by industry experts on ethical and responsible AI. Insights and learnings from the workshop will be summarized in a public case study and contribute to a Nordic Ethical AI Playbook that will be published in 2024.

Examples of topics that can be covered during the workshop:

  • How to integrate ethical and responsible AI in your governance and organizational structure: centralized, federated or hybrid
  • How to create a risk triage function: assessing level of risk for AI solutions
  • Organizational roles and their respective responsibilities in an ethical and responsible AI approach

The Nordic Ethical AI Sandbox

The workshop is the first out of four workshops under the Nordic Ethical AI Sandbox. The next three workshops will take place during spring 2024, and more information about the agenda and registration will be published a few weeks before each workshop.

The aim of the Nordic Ethical AI Sandbox is to help build knowledge and capability for Nordic companies on how to address some of the challenges within responsible AI. It is an opportunity for companies to work directly with responsible AI experts and members from the Nordic AI ecosystem. Besides four workshops, the Nordic Ethical AI Sandbox will also include seminars that are open to the entire Nordic AI ecosystem.

The Nordic Ethical AI Sandbox will help Nordic companies to adopt ethical AI. Olivia Rekman, Advisor at Nordic Innovation explains:

“This industry focused sandbox will be an innovation instrument for Nordic companies to transfer ethical AI capabilities. By bringing the Nordic ecosystem together to find and showcase solutions to real life problems that companies are facing, we expect this sandbox to strengthen Nordic companies’ ability to adopt ethical AI.”

“While AI is evolving rapidly into companies’ toolbox and shaping many businesses, we believe that stronger foundation in ethical AI capabilities could be leveraged as a competitive advantage in Nordics.”

Deadline for applying for the first workshop: 31 October
