The first two sessions of the Circular Business Model Training Sessions will introduce you to the fundamentals of circular economy business models and increase your understanding of what the circular economy entails. The focus will be on explaining and raise awareness about the business value and potential for companies in employing circular business models.
Who is this for
This training is particularly relevant for:
Industry associations, business advisors and networks whose members are manufacturing companies of all sizes (such as construction, maritime, transport, energy, machinery and equipment).
Companies in manufacturing value chains (such as technology and raw material suppliers, financing and logistics) are also welcome to participate.
The sessions will be split over two days:
|12.05.22||Linear inefficiencies and circular opportunities||14:00-15:00|
|24.05.22||Required capabilities and typical barriers||14:00-15:00|
New regulations and the green transition place increasing demands on the circularity of Nordic companies’ operations. By implementing circularity actions, companies could turn inefficiencies in linear value chains into business value. Circularity contributes to disconnecting economic growth from resource consumption, making the implementation of circular business models important for securing the competitiveness of the businesses.
In the beginning of 2021, Nordic Innovation launched the Nordic Circular Economy Playbook. The playbook was developed to support both smaller and larger manufacturing companies looking to transition to the circular economy. The training sessions in 2022 will function as further development of the playbook and support to companies looking to transition to a circular business model.

The training sessions are divided into two tracks and each track consists of a series of webinars:
