An online conference about the future of health tech in the Nordics.

On a global level, demographic challenges have a major impact on health care systems. Also Nordic countries have a growing proportion of elderly people and an increased prevalence of lifestyle and chronic diseases.

The Nordic region is facing those challenges head on and is going through a transformation process. The best way for increased quality of life is to prevent you from becoming sick. Currently, approximately 10% of the GDP is spent on treatment and 0,3% on prevention. The Nordics wants to see more focus on preventive health and the ratio becoming 5/5.

As a result, we are adapting our technology and business models to center around integrated care, personalized medicine, value-based healthcare and population health management. Agility, transparency and data sharing are the key elements to this transformation.

We believe Nordic cooperation is key to maintain our position as global frontrunners and secure a competitive future for the health related industries. Our vision is that by 2030, the Nordics will be the most sustainable and integrated health region in the world, providing the best possible personalized health care for all its citizens.

How to shift focus from treatment to prevention – the 5/5 aspiration

Finding solutions on how to bridge Nordic health data and personal data for utilization in the Nordic health ecosystems. This is a necessity if we want to fully utilize the high quality Nordic data for preventive, personalized and safe future health care.

Where do we stand in the world of health tech and what marks the world leaders?
Where do our companies stand in comparison to the world leaders? Who are the world leaders? What do we need to do to challenge them?

The online conference is a part of Iceland Innovation Week and is co-funded by Nordic Innovation as part of our Health, Demography and Quality of Life program. The program supports our vision of making the the Nordics the most sustainable and integrated health region in the world ny 2030, providing the best possible personalized health care for all its citizens.
