Nordic Innovation is owned by the five Nordic governments through the Nordic Council of Ministers and works to make the Nordic region a frontrunner in sustainable growth. The work will consist of both strategic and operational elements. Examples of tasks include developing strategies and programs, working on projects together with multiple partners, building networks, preparing calls for proposals, managing evaluation processes, and advising on and following up projects. You will have close contact with external companies and organizations, where it is important to adapt communication to different target groups in a professional manner.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- Relevant higher education and a minimum of eight years of relevant work experience
- Curiosity and a strong interest in working with new technologies and topics that are critical for business on the path toward sustainability, competitiveness, and attractiveness
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in at least one Scandinavian language in addition to English
- Familiarity with the support mechanisms and programs of the Nordic countries will be considered an advantage
- Experience in international work is a plus
- Experience working independently on highly complex tasks and, at times, without established practices

The position is a fixed-term appointment for four years, with the possibility of extension for an additional four years. Civil servants are entitled to leave of absence to work at Nordic Innovation. Employees recruited from countries other than Norway will receive relocation compensation, in addition to a special monthly allowance. We strive for balance in terms of age and gender. Nordic Innovation’s staff should, as far as possible, reflect the Nordic population, and in the selection of candidates, Nordic Innovation seeks a balance among the various Nordic nationalities.
