Nordic Companies Visited Hospitals in Tel Aviv

There is much interest for Nordic sustainability solutions in Israel, not at least when it comes to sustainable healthcare and circular solutions. Healthcare and cities are interlinked and solutions in either affects the other.

With funding from Nordic Innovation through the Nordic Sustainable Cities and Nordic Welfare Solutions projects, Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare and  Afeka Institute of Circular Engineering and Economy organised a Nordic trip to Tel Aviv for Nordic companies to visit hospitals and showcase their solutions to Israeli stakeholders.

Israeli interest in Nordic solutions

The trip was organised as a two-day event discussing positive effects of sustainable healthcare on smart and circular cities and societies. The Norwegian ambassador to Israel, Mr. Jon Hanssen-Bauer, opened the event, which was held in Geha Mental Health Center and Rabin Medical Center. The Nordic companies had the opportunity to present themselves and have one-to-one meetings with different local stakeholders and mature buyers during the two-day event.

The participating companies deliver solutions within a wide range of areas relating to sustainable hospitals and sustainable urban development and circular economy. There is a great interest among Israeli stakeholders in Nordic solutions relating to a wide range of fields spanning from biogas plants and sterilising machines to hospital furniture.

You can read more about the event on the Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare website.

Nordic solutions to global challenges

The Nordic delegation trip was organised in collaboration with the Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Norwegian embassy, and Upgraded. The trip one of the events and activities funded by Nordic Innovation through the Nordic Sustainable Cities project to promoting Nordic solutions to urban development challenges to relevant stakeholders outside the Nordic region.
