The call 'Nordic Secondary Critical Raw Materials Value Chains' aims to strengthen Nordic collaboration and innovation within secondary critical raw materials value chains, with a particular focus on industrial deployment, circularity, resource security and competitiveness.
We are looking for experts with relevant industrial, technical, commercial, financial or policy expertise related to critical raw materials, circular value chains and industrial deployment.
Nordic Innovation welcomes expressions of interest from experts both within and outside the Nordic region.

Areas of Expertise
We welcome applications from experts with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Critical raw materials (CRM)
- Secondary raw materials and recycling
- Collection, sorting and pre-processing of materials
- Materials processing and refining
- Recycling and recovery technologies
- Industrial side streams and by-product valorisation
- Process industry and manufacturing
- Battery, electronics and clean-tech value chains
- Industrial scale-up, piloting and demonstration
- Circular business models and market development
- Investment, finance and access to capital
- Sustainability assessment
- Policy, regulation and standards
- Innovation funding and project evaluation
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
- Industrial experience
- Innovation and commercialisation expertise
- Research and technical competence
- Experience evaluating innovation projects and funding applications
- Previous experience from Nordic, European or national funding programmes is considered an advantage.
Role of External Experts
Selected experts may be invited to participate in an external expert panel responsible for assessing shortlisted proposals and providing funding recommendations to Nordic Innovation.
Tasks may include:
- Reviewing and assessing project proposals against the evaluation criteria
- Participating in expert panel meetings
- Providing written assessments and recommendations
- Supporting a fair, transparent and high-quality evaluation process
Selected experts will be required to comply with confidentiality requirements and declare any potential conflicts of interest prior to participating in the evaluation process.

- Relevance of expertise
- Balance across competence areas
- Sectoral and geographical representation
- Nordic Innovation may contact selected experts at a later stage regarding availability, tasks and practical arrangements.
