This LOOP Forum side session consists of two parts

PART ONE:  Financing Circular Value Chains for Critical Materials

This part offers a clear overview of key EU and Nordic funding instruments supporting projects in critical materials, recycling, and industrial value chains.

Speakers from Nefco, Nordic Investment Bank, EIT RawMaterials and Vinnova will outline how companies can access funding, what types of projects are prioritized, and where current financing gaps remain. The segment concludes with a panel discussion on combining funding sources and overcoming barriers to scaling secondary raw materials markets in Europe.

Participants will leave with a clearer overview of available funding and investment opportunities, concrete insights from real cases, and actionable guidance on how to turn circular innovation into scalable, finance-ready solutions.

PART TWO: From Belief to Bankability - the business case for investing in circular economy

The second part of the side session ‘From Belief to Bankability – the business case for investing in circular economy’, led by Nordic Circular Investments, shifts to the investor perspective. This session explores investment opportunities in circular economy, illustrated through practical examples and real-world insights. Together with a selected panel of investors, we will share early findings from ongoing work by Nordic Circular Investments, a Nordic initiative dedicated to accelerating capital flows into circular business models.

Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how circular business models are assessed, financed, and developed into scalable investment cases. The session also invites attendees to follow the progress of ongoing projects and access further insights to be shared in October 2026. By signing up, participants can stay connected and become part of a growing network focused on advancing circular investments.
