The corona crisis is currently sending shockwaves through the world economy and is highlighting the need for investors and impact startups to find each other. In all the five Nordic countries there are a wide array of startups finding solutions to the world’s social and environmental challenges. Now more than ever is it important for these businesses to get access to risk capital in order to succeed.
This is the background for this year’s Nordic Impact Business Summit that will be held online 9 December 2020. Through an analysis of more than 1.000 Nordic and Baltic startups, 50 of the most promising of them will be selected to participate and be matched with around 200 handpicked ambitious global investors.
The summit is hosted by Danish non-profit The One Initiative together with partners Vækstfonden, the Danish Business Authority, +Impact by Danske Bank and Nordic Innovation.
As groundwork for the summit, The One Initiative will also, together with Nordic Innovation, produce a Nordic market analysis on impact investment called Impact Report Nordic Investors 2020. The findings in the report will be presented at the summit.
The confrence will be livestreamed and most sessions will be open for all.
