Nordic Innovation co-funds about 70 ongoing Nordic innovation projects that contributes to making the Nordic region a pioneering region for sustainable growth. Most of the projects are funded through our programs.
The Nordic Security Infrastructure project is a cross-border Nordic initiative aiming to strengthen the preparedness and resilience of critical maritime infrastructure in designated ports in the Nordic region.
The ReCIN project will focus on identifying early use cases for quantum technologies that enhance the resilience of critical infrastructure—such as water, energy, telecommunications, and navigation systems—amid rising hybrid threats.
The goal is to establish clusters of Deep Ocean Ranches in Norway, Iceland and Greenland with locally sourced species. The ranches will catch wild fish, harvesting zooplankton, ranching of local fish and shellfish. All with close to zero CO2 emission.
The project Moldable Ocean Biomass for Industry (MOBI) aims to accelerate the market uptake of seaweed based materials and hence, push the transition to a circular and biobased economy.
The Nordic countries are significant players in the global ocean economy. By understanding possible scenarios for the future of the ocean economy in the Nordic region, stakeholders will be able to tailor activities in a way that achieves maximum impact.
The project aims to demonstrate a green and digital end-to-end (e2e) corridor that enhances data sharing, improves situational awareness, and supports sustainable and efficient transport solutions.
We are now updating the 2021 report, The Nordic Supply Potential of Critical Metals and Minerals for a Green Energy Transition, with more emphasis on security matters such as defense technology needs.
The Nordic Chip Collaboration continues its mission to strengthen the semiconductor industry across Finland, Sweden, and Norway through focused and practical activities.
