The competition welcomes companies from the Nordics that have developed an app or digital health product addressing solutions for preventative care, home care, or clinical/hospital care. Participation is free, offering an incredible opportunity to showcase your innovation.
The competition, organized by N!P on behalf of Nordic Innovation, runs from April 12th to May 12th.

The prosess

The five winning companies, one from each country, will be selected by a jury and will be honoured as 'Nordic Innovation's Best Nordic Health Apps 2023'. Winners will also receive a free assessment against the Nordic Digital Health and Evaluation Criteria (NordDEC), and the five winners will be featured in a showcase booklet published by Nordic Innovation in the fall, highlighting their solutions and experiences with NordDEC accreditation.

One of the five finalists will also be named the main winner and invited to present at "Nordens Telt" during Arendalsuka, the Norwegian Democracy Festival on August 15th, 2023.

All entries will be evaluated by an expert panel selected by Nordic Innovation, featuring:

  • Jenni Nordborg, Director of International Affairs at Lif Sweden
  • Freyr Holm Ketilsson, Founder Icelandic Health Tech Cluster
  • Nana Bule, Tech Executive, Chair, Board member
  • Unni Kvisvik, Nordic Head of Welfare, Tietoevry Care
  • Aki Koivistoinen, Ambassador at StartUp Health

NordDEC, launched by Nordic Interoperability Project(N!P) in 2022 with co-funding from Nordic Innovation, is a “fast-track” for evaluation and accreditation for digital health products in the Nordics, also offering a distribution platform for approved solutions, promoting them across the Nordic region.
The assessments will be conducted by the Organisation for the Review of Care and Health Apps (ORCHA) as the NordDEC partner and service provider.
