Njord MedTech completes successful product testing through Nordic Proof

Njord MedTech established partnerships with the two Nordic testbeds through the Nordic Proof portal. The aim was to test the product Atle 180 - a patient transfer device aiming to reduce the physical burden for caregivers and to increase productivity at hospitals with a special focus on radiology departments.

Nordic Proof is a network of renowned health institutions and testing facilities in healthcare from the Nordic countries. The network provides an initial one-point entry for companies looking to test their ideas, products or solutions and it actively contributes to business development in the Nordic healthcare sector.

Nordic Innovation has functioned as a catalyst in driving the network forward.

Crucial feedback from healthcare professionals

The testing began with an initial two-day trial and was followed by an extensive six-week testing period.

The two-day test took place at Stavanger University Hospital and Sandnes Education and Research Centre Høyland. At Stavanger University Hospital, Njord MedTech demonstrated the product in the radiology lab which was followed by a dialogue with clinicians. The aim was to map interest and get feedback on the product and the department’s needs within patient transfer. At Sandnes Education and Research Centre Høyland, Njord MedTech explored how the product could be relevant to clinical studies involving animal patients.

At Oulu Health Labs the product was tested in all different imaging modalities such as magnetic imaging, CT, and conventional x-ray with positive feedback from clinicians and nurses. The product was tested for one month and employees at the different departments had the opportunity to try it. Crucial to this was the feedback process with healthcare professionals, whose insights proved invaluable in assessing the product’s efficacy and usability within clinical setting.

"It's been a pleasure working with Nordic Proof collaborating around the introduction of Atle 180 in both Norway and Finland. We received good support facilitating and planning introductory workshops at three different hospitals in these markets".
