Sámi-lifestyle embraces the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations. With the enlarged focus on sustainability worldwide, this opens new business opportunities in the Sámi society and for increased growth among existing businesses. The Sápmi Business Conference seeks to encourage Sámi-businesses to take the next step and look beyond Sápmi in order to reach a greater business potential.
Kautokeino should act as a ‘Sámi-roadmap’ and we aim to organize a conference which is beneficial to the entire Sápmi.

Speakers and entrepreneurs from Sápmi and the Nordic region
The two-day conference offers a program with Sámi speakers such as Eva Nordfjell, General Manager at Røros Rein A/S, Pirita Näkkäläjärvi, politician and Director of EY-Parthenon, Ellen Cecilie Triumf, owner of Rein Styrke A/S and Solveig Ballo, General Manager at Sápmi Næringshage. They will speak about innovation and business opportunities from a Sámi perspective.
Other speakers such as wild-life adventurer Lars Monsen, coach Erik Bertrand Larssen and the founder of reMarkable, Magnus Wanberg will also speak at the conference. Sámi musician, Agnete Saba will play a concert.
Sápmi Business Week
The conference is part of the Sápmi Business Week, which also includes The Sápmi Business Hackathon - a boot camp for young entrepreneurs - and The Business Masterclasses – an opportunity for Sámi businesses to study masterclasses in different fields of interest. The aim of the Sápmi Business Week is to strengthen innovation and Sámi business development as well as to create a more robust economy in Sápmi.
