Kristine's recipe - Viking burger

Viking Burger, 6 persons


Burger bread


1.3 cups of wheat flour

1 cup of coarse whole wheat flour

½ teaspoon of salt

2 teaspoons of baking powder

1.8 ounces of soft margarine or butter

1-2 grated carrots

0.5 cups of grated cheese

1 cup of buttermilk, milk or natural youghurt


Bake for 20 minutes at 440°F.


Take a bread and fill it with:


1 fish cake

A small handful og finely sliced cabbage

1 tablespoon of sliced leek





3 tablespoons of sour cream or natural youghurt

2 tablespoons of grated apple

2 tablespoons of grated turnip

2 slices of pickled cucumber


Mix the ingredients together.
