Nordic Innovation Annual Report 2011

In 2011 we have worked proactively to facilitate innovation, cooperation, and initiatives and sharing competence in and between the Nordic countries, as well as interacting on the international arena.
  • 06.03.2004 Ledelsesværktøjer til SMV‘er udviklet av NordVu

    NordVu - projektet har haft som formål at udarbejde en række ledelsesværktøjer til SMV'er (små- og mellemstore virksomheder) og formidle disse via en hjemmeside (www.nordvu.org). Udarbejdelsen af værktøjerne er sket ud fra succesbeskrivelser og god praksis som blev indsamlet i projektets første fase.

    Förstudie utförd av Nordic Investment Solutions, Stockholm den 19 november 2004 Den nordiska riskkapitalmarknaden är en viktig del i den nordiska innovationskedjan och bidrar till ekonomisk tillväxt och framväxt av nya näringsområden. Inget av de nordiska länderna är stort nog för en effektiv och väl fungerande marknad men tillsamman utgör länderna en god plattform för att bygga en gemensam riskkapitalmarknad med internationell konkurrenskraft.
  • 06.03.2004 SMEs and the new role of academic research in four Nordic countries

    A summary review of the main findings of the study shows that while the existing and proposed policy reforms have been extensive, there remain a number of important gaps. There are important differences in what kinds of recommendations can work in the respective countries and the country studies provide ample detail on the particular situation in this respect.

    På bakgrunn av en omfattende spørreundersøkelse opplever 77% av virksomhetene en eller flere barrierer for å dra fordel av mulighetene i de andre nordiske landene.

    Nordiska ministerrådet för näringspolitik (MR-näring) beslöt i slutet av 2003 att ge den nordiska ämbetsmannakommittén för näringspolitik (ÄK-näring) uppdraget att utarbeta ett förslag till program för sektorns innovationspolitiska samarbete fram till år 2010.
  • 05.03.2004 Intensivering av innsatsen for å fjerne næringslivets grensehindringer

    De nordiske næringsministrene har besluttet å forsterke innsatsen for å fjerne hindringer mot næringslivssamarbeid over landegrensene i Norden. Dette skjer på bakgrunn av den innsats som er gjort for å fjerne problemer som privatpersoner møter når de flytter mellom de nordiske land for å studere eller arbeide.
  • 03.03.2004 High tech spinn offs - limited impact!

    The project studies the creation and performance of new establishments and enterprises in the Nordic countries, utilising administrative register data compiled by the national statistical agencies on enterprises, establishments and employees. Among the many different aspects brought up during the study, the central theme concerns how one specific category of new establishments perform, namely those that can be identified as “high-tech spin-offs”.
  • 03.03.2004 Exploratory Study for Brain Disease Therapy

    The goal of the project was to set up a Nordic consortium that would plan a new approach in studying brain disease therapies and mechanisms. The indication areas was restricted to four major diseases namely stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and brain trauma.

    Det är en allmän uppfattning att det mogna industriländerna är på väg att omvandlas till kunskapsekonomier i vilka universitet och högskolor förutsätts spela en viktig roll för den ekonomiska tillväxten. Universitet och högskolor ses som en viktig resurs för att skapa ett konkurrenskraftigt näringsliv.
  • 03.03.2004 Conference summary - "The Nordic Region as a frontrunner in Research and Innovation"

    ”The Nordic region as a frontrunner in research and innovation” was the theme of the conference hosted by the Nordic Council of Ministers, Iceland (its chair) and the Nordic Innovation Centre on 10 June 2004. Delegates included decision- and policymakers in the Nordic innovation system. An important aim of the conference was to discuss and generate feedback to the newly presented policy document, ”Proposals for a collaborative Nordic programme on innovation policy 2005-2010” (”The Book of Innovation”).

    Since the project start Nordic BIC Forum has taken its position as part of Nordic innovation infrastructure. During project years, the network has been expanded and this has made it possible for new members to join the Forum and benefit from it.
  • 01.03.2004 Art and Design Universities - Innovation Network (preparatory survey)

    The purpose of this preliminary survey has been to review the current status of innovation activities of art and design institutions in the Nordic and Baltic region. First of all, the survey aims to highlight the innovation supporting services provided by the most important art and design universities in Nordic and Baltic countries. Secondly, the fact how design is integrated to the national innovation systems is analysed from each country’s point of view.
  • 28.02.2004 The potential in e-business has been far from exploited

    Over 4,300 enterprises – with at least 10 employees – in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden have participated in this survey of E-business Nordic.com 2003. E-business covers all business applications of internet technology, the purpose of which is to improve, change or promote efficiency in, the enterprise and organisation. E-business therefore includes all communication via the internet; internally in the enterprise via an intranet and externally via an extranet with customers, suppliers and partners.

    The background for the project is that there in all Nordic countries has been an increased attention to the question of productivity in building and construction industry (B&C industry) in the later years.

    Den övergripande målsättningen med nätverksprojektet ”nordisk geosyntetgrupp” (NGG) var att inom Norden öka kunskapen om geosynteter i byggandet och påverka det europeiska standardiseringsarbetet (CEN) så att nordiska aspekter beaktades.

    Today, it is well recognised that methods that can be used to do assessments of existing structures without the need for destructive tests has the potential to become increasingly important tools as a part of work being invested to structures. The companies that offer these methods, however, experience difficulties to sell services that rely on such methods.
  • 28.02.2004 VOC-fria linoljebaserade träskyddsprodukter

    Projektet syfte var att utveckla linoljebaserade träskyddsprodukter fria från avdunstande lösningsmedel (VOC). Inom projektet var målet också att åtgärda några av de brister som linoljebaseade produkter ofta uppvisar, t ex gulning, åldring, långsam tork, illaluktande emissioner.
