Nordic innovative start-ups heading for China

  • Publisert 30.10.2012
Five innovative Nordic start-up companies have been selected to present their technologies and business propositions to leading Chinese investors and potential strategic partners.

The companies will travel to Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai, joined by Nordic early stage investors, seeking to build lasting strategic relations to this emerging market.

The start-ups were selected by the members of the Nordic to Global Initiative, which are the leading public investors Finnvera (FI), Innovation Norway (NO) and Innovationsbron (SE), after having invited public and private seed investors, early stage investors and venture capital funds to nominate companies.

The criteria for selecting companies were set after input from the large Chinese companies and investors for which the companies will presented. Several of the companies have both private and public investors, and have already started or considered starting operations in China.

On the tour, the start-ups will be pitching directly towards the large Chinese technology companies Huawei, ZTE and TenCent and meet with investors, advisors, Nordic officials and Chinese authorities.

The program has been organized in cooperation with Invest Sweden.

The participating start-ups are:

BehavioSec develops and markets the innovative behaviormetric security solutions. Leading international financial institutions are among their first clients.
