Danish Standards is a private independent organisation. Profits are ploughed back into the development of new activities for the benefit of society and the corporate sector.
Primary fields of activity include:
- Sale of standards and handbooks
- Courses and conferences
Through the subsidiary DS Certificering A/S they offer certification.
Within their core activity standardisation, Danish Standards concludes a performance contract with the Ministry for Economic and Business Affairs. The contract sets out the framework and objectives for their activities as a national standardisation organisation. A performance contract with the Danish Environmental Protection Agency concerning the ecolabels, the Flower and the Swan, is also concluded.
