We need to create good Norwegian and Nordic examples of successful innovations, and not only use international examples as Apple and IBM, said Truls Berg, chairman of the Innovation Forum.
- We need a greater focus on innovation and we need to promote the real talents. That's what we do at Nordic Innovation Summit, Berg, who also is a managing partner of Movation and an experienced IT entrepreneur, explains.
The seminar promotes the best Norwegian and Nordic innovators. Inspirator, which has the practical responsibility, and Innovation Forum, which is the professional partner, wants to strengthen the Nordic perspective at the next Nordic Innovation Summit on March 15th next year.
- Innovation is not only for the few. There is something for everyone and it is essential to secure the survival of the Nordic region. I think it's important to focus more on a regional level in the future, and with regional I mean Nordic, Berg says.
Nordic Innovation was one of the contributors to the conference and participated in a panel discussion, where the topic was how Norway can become a world leader when it comes to innovation, together with a number of the country's most important innovation actors. Other highlights were speeches by Peter Planke, the founder of Tomra and Stephan Lindegaard, a Danish innovation guru.
