Thematic areas 2018-2021

As part of our strategy, Nordic Innovation has identified three thematic areas of work for the period 2018-2021. The thematic areas are based on the priorities of the Nordic ministers of business in the Nordic Co-operation Programme for Business and Innovation Policy 2018-2021.

The three thematic areas are:

  • 12/03/2011 Energy management in SMEs

The energy management standard may seem rather comprehensive to SMEs and act as a barrier to implement more systematic energy saving activities. New ways of involving SMEs in development and implementation of standards are needed.
  • 12/03/2011 Implementing solutions in order for Nordic SMEs to have access to international standardization

SMEs should be encouraged to use standards and participate in the International, European and National standardization system. Using standards can strengthen their innovation capacity.
  • 12/03/2011 Innovation and standardisation

What role can standards play to support innovation processes? How can standardisation processes lead to standards that support or at least not hamper innovation?
  • 12/03/2011 Standardisation of elderly services

Introducing standards in the field of elderly services will make it possible to create a more transparent market, which will benefit both public and private providers of elderly services.

  • 10/03/2011 Establishment of a certification system based on the Nordic standard INSTA 800

There is an increasing market need from providers of the cleaning service to prove their ability to deliver quality cleaning.
  • 10/03/2011 One Stop Shop in Sustainable renovation

Aiming to facilitate market penetration of housing renovations for family houses of high energy standard while providing comfort and sustainability to occupants.
  • 10/03/2011 Standardisation in the security sector

Numerous factors make the security sector relevant from a Nordic standardisation perspective.
  • 10/03/2011 Procurement standard for cleaning services

Private businesses and public agencies working on international, national, regional, or local level are compelled to utilize the cleaning services of external providers.
  • 10/03/2011 Designing Effective Nordic Innovation Programme (DENIP)

The main purpose of the DENIP programme is to enhance the knowledge and competences on measurement and design of innovation programs and tools, and securing that the programs fit company needs and drive innovation and growth.
