National innovation organisations in the Nordics set to cooperate more

  • Published 06/11/2017
The five national organisations working with innovaton and Nordic Innovation met to dicuss further cooperation in Helsinki.

1 November, the leaders of Innovation Centre Iceland, Tekes, Innovation Norway, Vinnova, the Danish Business Authority and Nordic Innovation, met to discuss how the organisations could further their cooperation to improve the Nordic innovation scene.

All organisations agreed that there is much potential for even closer cooperation between them, and they decided to meet again in early 2018 to discuss how this could be concretised. This is the first time the leaders of the national innovation organisations in the Nordic countries have met to discuss cooperation.

Following the meeting, the six leaders participated in a meeting with the Nordic Council of Ministers of the Environment in Helsinki. Here, they gave a joint statement underlining the importance of sustainability in working with innovation.
