Call for Nordic networks between business and academia within the topic ”Integration of large scale wind power”

The Top-level Research Initiative launches a call for Nordic networks within the sub-programme “Integration of large scale wind power”.

Relevant thematic areas are:

Grid aspects, energy market aspects, operation and maintenance and cold climate and offshore wind power – new initiatives and methods. The application deadline is April 30, 2011.

The Top-level Research Initiative is a Nordic effort to promote research and innovation in energy, climate and environmental issues.

The sub-programme “Integration of large-scale wind power” aims at promoting the development of new, innovative and sustainable forms of wind energy and improve the integration of wind power.

A Nordic network is a flexible scheme to strengthen collaboration between Nordic researchers and industry representatives. A network can fulfil different aims such as:

  • Create new constellations and co-operation platforms enhancing information exchange and transfer of knowledge between different stakeholders, such as researchers, business and policy makers
  • Optimise joint Nordic use of research and innovation infrastructure
  • Facilitate implementation of existing knowhow in society


The network grant is limited to cover direct costs for various forms of  co-operation. The duration of the networks can vary from 1-3 years. Networks can be funded with NOK 300 000 per year. 2,7 MNOK is allocated to this call.

  • energy market aspects
  • operation and maintenance and cold climate and offshore wind power – new initiatives and methods.


The deadline for submitting proposals is 30th of April 2011.
